About The Grant

The Northeast Regional Food Business Center is currently accepting applications for technical assistance providers. These providers will offer guidance and training to local producers and food and farm businesses, or create or expand regional networks of technical assistance providers. The first round of funding has an application deadline of August 23, 2024, by 7:59 PM. This grant aims to enhance the capacity and sustainability of the Northeast regional food system.

The grant is available in the following Northeastern states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Washington D.C. The Northeast Center shares jurisdiction of Pennsylvania and Maryland with the Appalachia Regional Food Business Center. For a full list of counties served by the Northeast Center, please see below.

There are two types of sub-awards available. Track A focuses on Direct Business Technical Assistance, providing 1:1 guidance and training to local producers and businesses. The minimum award for Track A is $50,000, with a maximum of $100,000. Track B aims to develop Technical Assistance Provider Networks, supporting the creation and coordination of regional or sub-regional networks. The minimum award for Track B is $100,000, and the maximum is $200,000.
