About The Grant

The Hampton Roads Community Foundation is offering Community Grants for Health & Wellness aimed at improving the overall health of citizens in South Hampton Roads. Recognizing that access to quality health care and health education can be a challenge—particularly for under-resourced populations—these grants focus on initiatives that promote access to primary, dental, and behavioral health services, as well as programs that encourage healthy behaviors and enhance health literacy.

Grants will support programs that help individuals connect with ongoing care, complete dental treatment plans, and improve mental or behavioral health outcomes. Additionally, preference will be given to programs that educate participants about chronic disease prevention and lead to measurable improvements in health behaviors. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve residents in the South Hampton Roads region.
