Walter Grant for Diverse Authors

Applicants must be unpublished as illustrators and/or authors. This includes both trade publishing and self-publishing. If the applicant has a book deal for an as yet unpublished book, the applicant is considered published for purposes of this grant. Essays, short stories, and articles do not render an applicant ineligible.

Applicant must be working toward a career as a children’s author and/or illustrator. This includes but is not limited to: Picture Books, Early Reader Books, Chapter Books, Middle Grade Books, Young Adult, Graphic Novels, Non-Fiction, Poetry. Deadline August 31, 2021

Creciendo con TikTok, a Small Business Grant Program

TikTok, HHF and partners have partnered to create a $150,000 Grant Fund aimed at expanding and elevating 30 Small Latinx Businesses across the US. celebrating the perseverance, hard work and commitment of Latinx Business Owners as champions of entrepreneurship during the COVID crisis, the fund will grant cash awards of $5,000 each to selected Latinx business owners from across the country who exemplify those business principles championed through TikTok.

The Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell

The new Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell offers an unparalleled opportunity for women to earn a certificate in business from this Ivy League university. Through a free online program made possible by Bank of America, students will gain the skills, knowledge and resources necessary to build, manage and scale a successful business. JOANN GRANTS for Hispanic Crafters & Sewers

The second annual JOANN Minority Grant Program will provide grants totaling $100,000 to 20 small Hispanic business owners, in need of support to help achieve their business goals. Each grant recipient will receive $5,000 in JOANN cash to help broaden their creative product supplies to further spread handmade happiness among their customers. Applications will be accepted through Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 – October 15.
