About The Grant

The Let Creativity Happen (LCH) Grant, administered by the Houston Arts Alliance (HAA), provides up to $2,500 in funding for innovative and risk-taking arts and cultural projects in the City of Houston. This unique grant encourages artists, creatives, and organizations to explore fresh ideas that may not fit into traditional funding categories. Whether you’re reimagining public art or launching a creative performance, this grant offers the resources to help bring your vision to life while engaging the local community and visitors.

All proposed activities must occur within the Houston city limits and include a public presentation, either in person or live virtual. Projects must be accessible to the general public and not part of the applicant’s regular programming. Applications must be submitted through the HAA Grants Portal by their respective round deadlines. Funding comes from the City of Houston’s Hotel Occupancy Tax and is intended to support cultural tourism and arts experiences that reflect Houston’s creative identity.
